Can you believe it? Craftable Things is officially turning 6 years old!

Six years ago, this journey started with a simple passion for creating, a love for teaching, and a dream to bridge the gap between “I want to make that” and “I know exactly how to do that.” What started as a small space for crafting has grown into an incredible global community of creators, blinger-addicts, embroidery enthusiasts, and creative entrepreneurs.

Whether you’ve been here since year one or you just hit subscribe yesterday, thank you for being the heart and soul of Craftable Things.

6 Years, 6 Big Lessons Learned

Looking back over the last six years, we’ve shared countless tutorials, released hundreds of rhinestone templates and machine embroidery files and started the Craft-a-Bling Box monthly subscription . Through all the triumphs (and the occasional ruined projects), here are some of the biggest lessons we’ve learned along the way:

Progress Takes Patience: You don’t need to be a master on day one. Every single craft fail is just a stepping stone to a flawless finished project.
The Right Tools Change Everything: From finding the perfect SS10 hotfix rhinestones to learning software mastery in Silhouette Studio, Embrilliance or Adobe Illustrator, having the right tools—and knowing how to use them—takes your crafts from amateur to professional.
Don’t Just Sell the File, Teach the Method: This has become our ultimate motto. Crafting is so much more rewarding when you understand the why and how behind every cut, stitch, and press.
Turn Passion into Profit (With Real Talk): We learned that so many of you want to scale your creative hobbies into actual businesses. Sharing real talk about growing social media and building a brand has been some of the most rewarding work we’ve done.
Community is Everything: The best part of the last 6 years hasn’t been the projects; it’s been you. The way this community cheers each other on, troubleshoots together, and celebrates every sparkle is unmatched.

You has a calm, soothing voice that’s engaging and easy to follow, and you explain every step in a way that makes even challenging projects feel achievable. What I admire most is your patience when something doesn’t go as planned, you stays positive, works through it, and never shows frustration. That makes learning from you enjoyable and encouraging. I’m also amazed by the rhinestone designs you creates, especially using Icy Crystal AB stones. They sparkle with beautiful iridescent colors that reminded of the Northern Lights, thanks to the special coating that gives them such a stunning shimmer.
